Cause Analysis and Preventive Measures for the Fallings of 41 Inpatients in Cardiovascular Department

Abstract: Objective: To analyze the specific situation and related risk factors for the falling of cardiovascular patients, so as to
provide reference for the formulation of effective preventive measures. Methods: Through retrospective analysis, 41 cases who fell in
the department of cardiovascular in the First People s Hospital of Yunnan Province from January 2015 to April 2020 were analyzed.
Results: The scores of self-care ability and Morse Fall Scale (MFS) were (43.75±8.43) and (57.43±9.47), respectively. Medication use,
accompanying or not, scores of MFS, and the types of diseases were the risk factors for the falling (P<0.05). Conclusion: To prevent
falling of hospitalized cardiology patients, targeted and individualized preventive measures should be taken for high-risk patients in
terms of age, falling time, and falling location.
